Switching Lines and Devices to New Account and affect on Current Accounts EC
Hello! So I have a T-Mobile account with my mom and dad currently, and I took my paid off phones up to the T-Mobile store yesterday to upgrade to the new iPhones and they told me I couldn't do it without paying for the full price of one of the phones and $300 down on the other one because I didn't have enough 'EC' left on my account since we already have 4 other phones, 3 watches, and a tablet being financed. My question is, if my mom and dad took their lines and devices and got a new T-Mobile account for just them, how would that affect my account's EC and would I then be able to upgrade my phones? Any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
If anyone was wondering, I went to the T-Mobile store and they told me that it would in fact help, and I am able to upgrade after we take their devices and lines off our account. I just have to wait 2-3 days for it to register and our EC will be freed up.
