text number 2300
why do I keep getting hundreds of text under a number 2300? Nothing shows up on phone but the text number is showing up on my statements with hundreds of texts coming from that number.
Hey all! We're stoked that you're using the app and website to keep an eye on your bill and usage details. It can be a bit of a head-scratcher when something new pops up that doesn't quite match what you're seeing on your device. Don't worry, we're here to help you make sense of it all. It took me a bit of time, but I was able to clarify with some of our messaging and billing teams that the 2300 code is used for Multimedia Messaging routing, which are things like picture and group messages. These codes are used on the system side of things to deliver and confirm delivery of your important data. It could be showing a ton of times because the message takes a couple attempts to get through to the phone. It could also be for read receipts and other message confirmations on the phone itself. You know when you send a picture to someone and then you see that it was delivered and then that they read it and then that they respond to it with an emoji, etc. Very nice features on the phone, but there are a few things on the backend that are logged and show up on the bill.
Hope this helps :)
