Turning off my model KVD21 Hub's Wifi signal for a mesh setup

I'd love to know how to Turn off my KVD21 Hub's Wifi signal for a mesh setup as I am strictly using my Linksys Velop Mesh nodes to access the internet. It would also would be nice to know what settings would make this setup optimal.

  • @Rogracer2000, you will turn the radio back on using the app. The HINT Control app has several features that include turning the radio on/off and better channel management (adding SSIDs). If the user has a separate wifi router then this is the trick to avoid double-NAT.

The HINT Control works well. You can download the app from Apple or Google Play Store: https://github.com/zacharee/ArcadyanKVD21Control

This may be a dumb question...but once you turn off the radio in the KVD21, how do you turn it back on?   And does the TM Internet app still work?   Maybe the app just turns off the broadcast radio and leaves the receive function alone?

I did turn WiFi off on mine using the HINT app. Gateway runs cooler also. I also have the Velop MX4200 system. Everything is working great. So glad to finally be free of COX cable.

Oh, I was wondering about that. So using our own WiFi Routers connected via ethernet on the TMHI Gateway avoids the Double NAT issue? Didn't know that.
