high speed home internet gateway
6 TopicsNOK 5G21 Gateway Battery Backup
How does the battery backup option work on the High Speed Home Internet NOK 5G21 Gateway device. When the device gets unplugged or losses power, the device configures to battery operation, then the WiFi is disabled. I also tried using Ethernet. Neither connection method works. In the manual it says "During battery operation, neither Wi-Fi nor Ethernet connections are supported." What is the use to have battery backup if WiFi nor Ethernet connections are supported? How can I use the device during battery operation?22KViews8likes43ComentariosDynamic IP Address versus Static IP Address
Dynamic ip vs Static ip, T-mobile home internet has a dynamic ip address that connects me to Colorado instead of my home located in Greenfield Missouri, 65661, I have asked tech support to look at my history they will be able to see that my use is personal, it is never business, I should not have to pay for a business acct. to receive a static ip or at the very least a dynamic ip for my region in the state of sw missouri. ps there are no additional cost to t-mobile to provide a static ip or at he minimum of a dynamic ip that is regional to my Home.103Visto0likes0Comentarios2 T Mobile Gateways?
I currently have a Nokia gateway through TMobile and me and my son both work from home and have our computers plugged into it. I, however, will be moving my office to the basement, 2 floors down, and with VPN on wireless, the speed drops substantially. Is there a way to have 2 TMobile gateways, 1 just designated to my computer alone, or is there a better way to get us both hooked up to the 1 without a substantial cost and headache? Mind you, my daughter also has her computer and streams on her TV on the 3rd floor, and we now have about 12 devices total utilizing the gateway, 10 on wireless. Thanks for any help!439Visto0likes1Comentario“This network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic”
This morning I noticed thatwhen my iPad and iPhone connect to the WiFi signal from my 5G High Speed Gateway (the silver trash can) they warn me that "This network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic." It goes on to state that internet traffic on the network may be monitored and recorded by other devices on the same network. I have an Eero router connected to the gateway by ethernet and configured in bridge mode to serve as an access point. When I connect to that WiFi signal I do not get the same warning message. I have already: (1) rebooted the gateway several times (2) done a factory reset Another odd symptom - which may or may not be related - is that it continues to show a warning on the LCD for"modem storage overload." I noticed this a few days ago, but it has not been resolved by the reboots or the factory reset. There are no text messages in the device.8.3KViews0likes3Comentarios
